TRAINING ON USING PAPERPAL SOFTWARE TO SUPPORT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AT DNTU
On October 11, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology at Dong Nai University of Technology (DNTU) organized a training program on using Paperpal software to support scientific research. This program was essential and beneficial, aimed at guiding and orienting the university's administrative staff, faculty, and employees to effectively and creatively use tools that support the research process.
The training session was attended by Dr. Phan Ngoc Son – President of DNTU, Dr. Doan Manh Quynh – Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Lan Chi – Vice Rector, NCS. Phan Vo Quynh Nhu – Vice Rector, Ms. Dong Thi Thanh Thoan – Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien – Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance (chief instructor), along with all faculty members, administrative staff, and research officers from DNTU.
During the training session, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien – Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, introduced Paperpal AI Tool and how to effectively use it in scientific paper writing to faculty members, administrative staff, and researchers at DNTU. Paperpal AI Tool is specifically designed to comprehensively support the writing process, from the initial stage of building and organizing ideas, to supporting content writing, and finally editing language, checking layout, and correcting formatting errors. With advanced algorithms and powerful natural language processing capabilities, Paperpal not only helps save time but also ensures that scientific papers adhere to international academic standards, enhancing the accuracy and coherence of the content. Additionally, the tool helps users easily detect and correct syntax and grammar errors, ensuring the paper is polished and of high quality.
Concerns, difficulties during software use, technical operations, troubleshooting, and other issues were discussed and addressed by Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, providing practical solutions right during the training. Faculty members were also provided with additional information and materials to facilitate their future work.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien noted: “The applications of AI in education are transforming the way we teach, learn, and conduct scientific research globally. Researching and writing scientific reports (such as theses, dissertations, and research papers) requires meticulousness, precision, and adherence to stringent standards. Therefore, this process often consumes a lot of time and effort. AI tools for academia have become indispensable assistants, helping scientists and researchers optimize their research processes, thus improving research efficiency and quality."
