International Conference on Emerging Technologies (ICETE2 - 2025)

On February 18, 2025, Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) successfully hosted the International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Energy and Environment (ICETE2 - 2025).

The event brought together 150 delegates from over 20 countries, creating an academic forum that connected scientists, researchers, engineers, and scholars from both domestic and international institutions. The conference facilitated discussions on the impact of emerging technologies on sustainable industrial development. Initiated in December 2024, the conference received 126 research papers from scientists worldwide. These papers covered various fields, with a particular focus on future clean and advanced technologies, including green energy and renewable energy, environmental science and electric vehicles, smart cities and green buildings, energy management systems, desalination technology, CO₂ reduction and product life cycle, bio-waste recycling, wastewater treatment, nuclear energy, and fuels for transportation.

Dong Nai Technology University presented tokens of appreciation to international speakers for their active participation.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Dr. Doan Manh Quynh, President of Dong Nai Technology University, emphasized the critical role of emerging technologies in the context of global energy transition. He highlighted that researching and implementing advanced technological solutions would not only contribute to the sustainable development of industries but also create new opportunities for international collaboration.

Additionally, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Lan Chi, Vice President of Dong Nai Technology University and Chair of the Scientific Committee of ICETE2 - 2025, underscored the importance of clean technology and innovation in mitigating negative environmental impacts. She also called for close collaboration among scientists, businesses, and educational institutions.

The ICETE2 - 2025 conference was structured into two main sessions:

The plenary session, held on the morning of February 18, 2025, at Hall A, featured distinguished speakers, including:

    • Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Dincer – A leading expert in clean energy systems, particularly hydrogen technology, with decades of research and teaching experience.
    • Prof. Dr. Henrik Lund – A renowned researcher in energy system analysis, energy planning, and energy economics, contributing groundbreaking studies in the field.

GS. TS. Ibrahim Dincer

Three parallel discussion sessions were held at the Information and Library Center, focusing on the following topics:

  • Topic 1: Socioeconomic Development and Sustainability
  • Topic 2: Technological Advancements for Environment and Energy
  • Topic 3: Emerging Materials and Technologies in Energy Production

As part of the conference, the organizing committee selected and honored outstanding research contributions:

  • Best Poster Award: Tuning Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs) from Low to High Entropy for Enhanced Oxygen Evolution in Alkaline Environments, The author is presented as Dr. Chandrasekaran Pitchai.

  • Three Best Oral Presentation Awards:

    • An Empirical Correlation Between The Induced Flow Rate And The Volume Of A Vertical Solar Chimney For Natural Ventilation Of Building - Prof. Nguyen Quoc Y
    • Systems And Molecular Biology Strategies To Develop Sustainable Bioenergy Resources - Dr. Balamurugan
    • Reutilization Of Aluminum Industrial By-Products For Efficient Hydrogen Generation And Water Treatment Applicationsnt Applications - Dr. Trần Gia Hồng

The award-winning authors received certificates and commemorative gifts from Dong Nai Technology University in recognition of their valuable contributions to the conference.

The ICETE2 - 2025 conference concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in scientific research on energy and environmental technologies. This event serves as a solid foundation for DNTU to further expand the scale and enhance the quality of future international conferences, fostering connections and collaborations among researchers, experts, and institutions worldwide.
