Opening ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Energy & Environment” (ICETE2 - 2026)
In the context of increasingly pressing global challenges related to energy and the environment, promoting scientific research, knowledge sharing, and international collaboration has become more essential than ever. In response to this trend, Dong Nai Technology University organized the 2nd International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Energy & Environment (ICETE2 - 2026).

Building on the success of previous conferences such as CSET 2023, CSET 2024, and ICETE1 - 2025, ICETE2 - 2026 is held on an international scale, bringing together more than 50 scientists, experts, and researchers from various countries around the world. The conference serves as an open academic platform where ideas are exchanged, critically discussed, and developed toward practical applications, contributing to sustainable development goals.
Representing Dong Nai Technology University, the conference welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice President, along with faculty leaders, lecturers, researchers, and students.

On the international side, the conference was honored to host distinguished speakers, including:

In addition, the conference was attended by numerous domestic delegates from governmental agencies, departments, scientific organizations, and enterprises operating in the technology and environmental sectors.


At the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan officially declared the opening of ICETE2 - 2026. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of international academic collaboration in the context of energy transition and sustainable development. He also reaffirmed the University’s strategic orientation toward promoting applied research, innovation, and global integration. Furthermore, he expressed his sincere appreciation for the presence of experts, scientists, and partners, while highlighting his expectation that the conference would generate meaningful outcomes, expand cooperation, and disseminate knowledge in the fields of energy and environment.

One of the key highlights of ICETE2 - 2026 is its Hybrid format, combining onsite sessions at Dong Nai Technology University with virtual participation. This approach has expanded global connectivity, enabling scientists from various countries to engage, share, and contribute to the conference.
From an academic perspective, the conference received 50 research paper submissions from both domestic and international researchers. Following a rigorous peer-review process, high-quality papers were selected for presentation, including 4 outstanding papers nominated for publication in ISI-indexed journals. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an international ISBN and may also be considered for publication in prestigious journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
The conference content focuses on practical and cutting-edge topics, including clean energy solutions, advanced energy storage systems, sustainable water treatment technologies, and innovative applications for environmental protection.
During the program, the conference was honored to welcome Prof. Ibrahim Dincer - one of the world’s leading scholars in energy. His presentation provided in-depth insights, highlighting emerging trends and advanced technological solutions in sustainable energy. His well-structured analysis and scientific evidence further clarified the critical role of emerging technologies in addressing current global challenges.

In the second plenary session, Prof. Henrik Lund - a world-leading expert in energy planning - delivered a comprehensive presentation on sustainable energy systems. His insights offered strategic perspectives on designing and operating integrated energy models aligned with global development trends.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the conference was the keynote presentation by Prof. Veera Gnaneswar Gude. With a strong research background and internationally recognized contributions, his presentation opened new approaches, particularly in integrating energy and environmental solutions to address global challenges. Notably, he is ranked among the top 2% most influential scientists worldwide according to Stanford University.
