International cooperation at Dong Nai Technology University is gradually being transformed into concrete learning opportunities for learners. From the cooperation relationship with Chosun University (South Korea), which has been implemented since 2026, three graduates of Dong Nai Technology University have received KOICA scholarships and continued their master’s programs in South Korea. This is one of the initial results demonstrating the role of international educational connections in expanding learning opportunities, professional development, and international experiences for students.

From the Foundation at Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) to a Learning Journey in South Korea

Building on the foundation accumulated at Dong Nai Technology University, three graduates majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology are continuing their learning journey at Chosun University, South Korea. This is also one of the first results of the cooperation relationship between Dong Nai Technology University and Chosun University, which has been implemented since April 2026.

The University congratulates the three graduates of Automotive Engineering Technology, Faculty of Engineering - Le Thanh Long, K16 graduate; Nguyen Thien Bao, K17 graduate; and Nguyen Kim Loc, K17 graduate - Vice Presidenton being admitted to postgraduate training programs at Chosun University, South Korea.

Each post-graduation journey has its own direction. For Long, Bao, and Loc, choosing to continue their studies in South Korea is the next step for them to enhance their professional expertise and experience a new educational environment.

Before coming to Chosun University, they spent years studying and developing themselves at DNTU. It was a process of accumulating specialized knowledge, gaining practical experience, working in teams, developing skills, and gradually shaping their career orientation.

For an application-oriented university such as Dong Nai Technology University, the value of education lies not only in the knowledge taught in the curriculum, but also in helping students know how to apply their knowledge to practice, actively learn, and be ready to continue developing after graduation.

The fact that three graduates have continued their Master’s studies in South Korea is one of the examples of this journey: the foundation built at DNTU continues to be used by them as they enter a new learning environment and develop their professional expertise at a higher level of education.

DNTU – Chosun: Cooperation Begins with Opportunities for Students

The cooperation relationship between Dong Nai Technology University and Chosun University was implemented in April 2026. From the very first activities, the cooperation between the two universities has aimed to create more learning and experiential opportunities for students.

Preschool is one of the first programs to be implemented. The free program gives DNTU students the opportunity to access the Korean language, Korean culture, and learn more about the learning environment in this country.

From this initial activity, DNTU students have continued to gain access to international articulation programs at Chosun University, together with scholarship policies under the programs.

This is a meaningful point in the cooperation between the two universities: instead of stopping at exchange and networking activities, the connection is gradually being transformed into concrete learning options for students.

For DNTU, international cooperation is therefore directly associated with an important goal: expanding learning and development opportunities for learners, giving students more options after completing their program at the university.

KOICA Scholarships – Opportunities to Continue Studying and Gain Experience in South Korea

One of the highlights in the cooperation process between DNTU and Chosun University is the introduction of the KOICA scholarship program to DNTU students and their participation in the program.

During the implementation process, DNTU actively encouraged and introduced suitable students to participate in the program, while supporting the provision of documents, application materials, and relevant paperwork related to the students’ learning process.

Chosun University supports students in completing their applications and carrying out the necessary procedures, including sponsorship and guarantee procedures, so that students can travel to South Korea to study.

To date, three DNTU students have been awarded KOICA scholarships. The program has a training period of 30 months, including a Master’s program, a Korean language training course, and a six-month internship at a company. Students have the opportunity to continue their professional training, improve their Korean language proficiency, and gain practical experience in the working environment in South Korea.

According to the program’s policies, students are supported with tuition fees, accommodation, round-trip airfare, living expenses, health insurance, and other forms of support.

For students, these forms of support help reduce the costs incurred during their studies in South Korea and create conditions for them to focus on their studies, research, and practical experiences.

For DNTU, this is also a concrete result of building and maintaining cooperation with international educational partners, in which opportunities for students are among the most important values of such cooperation.

The Value of an Education Foundation Connected to Practice

The story of Long, Bao, and Loc also shows another aspect of the education and training process at DNTU.

Trained in Automotive Engineering Technology, students have the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge alongside practical training and real-world experiences. This is a necessary foundation for learners to better understand their field, develop their skills, and gradually determine their direction after graduation.

When continuing their studies in South Korea, the knowledge and skills accumulated at the undergraduate level become a foundation for them to continue learning in a new environment.

With an educational orientation connected to practice, DNTU aims to equip students not only with specialized knowledge but also with the ability to adapt to different requirements in learning and work.

In the context of an increasingly interconnected international labor market, professional expertise needs to be accompanied by foreign language proficiency, communication skills, and the ability to work in multicultural environments. These are also competencies that international cooperation programs can add to students’ education and training process.

The Cooperation Relationship Opens Opportunities for Various Fields of Study

The cooperation between DNTU and Chosun University is not limited to students majoring in Korean Studies.

Given the similarities and the need for connections in various fields between Vietnam and South Korea, students in fields such as Automotive Engineering Technology, Mechanical Manufacturing, Tourism and Travel Services Management, as well as many other disciplines, can also access suitable learning and exchange opportunities.

South Korea currently has extensive cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of education, technology, manufacturing, investment, tourism, and services. This creates a demand for human resources with professional expertise, foreign language proficiency, and the ability to adapt to multicultural working environments.

Through connections with South Korean universities, DNTU students have additional opportunities to gain exposure to South Korean education, culture, and working environments during their studies.

This is also how international cooperation complements education and training at the university: DNTU builds the foundation, international partners expand students’ experiences, and students are the ones who directly receive these values to develop their own academic and career paths.

The Pre-School Program (DNTU × Chosun) has been launched, creating new opportunities for school and university students to access Korean language, culture, and an international learning environment right here in Vietnam.

Continuing to Expand International Articulation Programs

Building on the cooperation that has been implemented, in the coming period, DNTU and Chosun University are expected to continue focusing on international articulation programs, including the 0.4+4 and 3+1 models.

Through these programs, DNTU students will have additional options to continue their studies in South Korea, access Chosun University’s training programs, and work toward the opportunity to receive a university degree in South Korea in accordance with the regulations of each program.

If Preschool creates conditions for students to become initially familiar with the Korean language and Korean culture, the articulation programs provide a longer learning pathway, while the KOICA program opens additional opportunities for development at the postgraduate level.

These activities show that the cooperation between the two universities is being implemented in an increasingly concrete direction, from exchange and experiences to learning and training, with a focus on creating practical opportunities for students.

Appreciation for the Partnership with Chosun University and KOICA

For Dong Nai Technology University, international cooperation is part of the process of expanding learning and development opportunities for students.

Each cooperation program creates value when it produces concrete results for learners: a new experience, a learning opportunity, an exchange program, a scholarship, or a career connection.
