From September 23 to 26, 2026, a delegation from Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) attended the 2026 CDIO Asian Regional Meeting at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), Kazakhstan.

The DNTU delegation was led by Dr. Doan Manh Quynh, Vice Rector, together with representatives from the University’s professional units. DNTU’s participation in the Meeting contributed to expanding international academic connections while providing an opportunity for the University to stay updated on emerging trends in engineering education and exchange experiences with educational institutions across the region.

UPDATING ENGINEERING EDUCATION TRENDS IN THE AI ERA

The 2026 CDIO Asian Regional Meeting was held under the theme “Next-Gen Engineering: The New Triad of Academia, Industry, and AI.”

The Meeting focused on the connection between academia, industry, and artificial intelligence, reflecting ongoing changes in engineering education in response to digital transformation and the rapid development of AI technology.

CONNECTING, EXCHANGING AND LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCE

As part of the program, the DNTU delegation attended thematic sessions, seminars, panel discussions, and networking activities with experts, representatives from universities, and educational organizations within the CDIO network.

In addition to professional discussions, the Industry & University Innovation Walk and sessions on CDIO-based curriculum development, ABET standards, and responsible AI in higher education provided practical perspectives on how engineering education can adapt to emerging technological and labor market demands.

The Meeting also provided an opportunity for DNTU to connect and exchange experiences with educational institutions across the region, gaining insights into new models and approaches that may be considered in the development of academic programs and the enhancement of educational quality at the University.

Participating in the 2026 CDIO Asian Regional Meeting contributed to strengthening Dong Nai Technology University’s connections with the international engineering education network, while creating opportunities for the University to stay updated on emerging developments in higher education across the region.
