DNTU Connects with International Partners: Launching the GREENSEA Project to Promote Green Education

On the morning of February 5, 2025, Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) solemnly welcomed and held a working session with a delegation of professors and experts from prestigious European and Southeast Asian universities and research institutes. This meeting took place within the framework of the Kick-off Meeting and the Short Exchange Program of the GREENSEA Project. The project is funded by the European Commission through the ERASMUS+ Program (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE).

 

 

GREENSEA – Promoting Green Education Cooperation between Europe and Southeast Asia

The GREENSEA Project is an international educational cooperation initiative aimed at promoting sustainable education, modernizing curricula, and enhancing digital transformation capacity for higher education institutions. By connecting knowledge, sharing experiences, and developing advanced training models, the project aims to address global challenges in the context of climate change, green development, and the current requirements for higher education innovation.

 

Within the project's framework, partner universities collaborate to build academic cooperation networks, conduct scientific research, and exchange experts. These efforts contribute to improving training quality and strengthening the role of higher education in achieving sustainable development goals.

DNTU's Role in the GREENSEA Project

As the host for the project's activities in Vietnam, Dong Nai Technology University serves not only as an academic bridge between international partners but also as a direct contributor, sharing strategic orientations, sustainable education initiatives, and digital transformation solutions currently implemented in the University's training and research activities.

Speaking at the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan – Vice Presiênt of Dong Nai Technology University, extended a warm welcome to the international partners. He reaffirmed DNTU's commitment to developing training programs linked to sustainable development, innovating teaching methods, and strengthening international cooperation. The discussion focused on aligning the vision and common goals of the GREENSEA project, as well as defining the roles and responsibilities of each partner during implementation.

During the program, DNTU presented an overview of its typical initiatives in sustainable and digital education, opening an academic space for exchange among participating universities. These initial discussions have laid the foundation for deeper cooperation in the future, ranging from curriculum development and scientific research to academic exchange and scholar mobility.

 

 

As part of the schedule, the international delegation also toured the DNTU campus and laboratory systems, gaining a direct insight into the facilities, the learning-research environment, and the University's development orientation in the process of international educational integration.

 

 

This morning's working session not only initiated the series of GREENSEA Project activities at DNTU but also affirmed the increasingly prominent role of Dong Nai Technology University in the international educational cooperation network, aiming to build a green – digital – sustainable educational ecosystem in the region.
