On 12 July 2026, Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) was honored to host the 7th Dong Nai City Vietnam–Laos Friendship Singing Festival 2026, organized by the Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Dong Nai City.

The event was attended by Ms. Tran Thuy Tien, Standing Vice President of the Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations; Mr. Luong Thanh Tung, Head of the Department of People-to-People Diplomacy, Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tan, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Dong Nai City; Mr. Pham Huy Hieu, representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trang Dai Ward; members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Dong Nai City; representatives of Vietnam–Laos Friendship Associations from wards and communes; and performers from various friendship associations across the city. The festival also welcomed 11 Lao international students from Champasak Province, who are currently studying at Dong Nai University.

Representing the Board of Rectors of Dong Nai Technology University, Mr. Doan Manh Quynh, Vice Rector of DNTU, was honored to receive a commemorative medal presented by the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Dong Nai City in recognition of the University's meaningful contributions to people-to-people diplomacy and international friendship activities in 2026.

The festival featured 30 carefully choreographed performances celebrating the cultures, people, and landscapes of both Vietnam and Laos. Among them was a special performance by the 11 Lao students from Champasak Province studying at Dong Nai University, highlighting the close educational and cultural ties between the two countries.

At the awards ceremony, the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Tam Phuoc Ward achieved outstanding success by winning First Prize for the performance Highland Festival and Second Prize for Vietnam–Laos Friendship. Trang Dai Ward received Third Prize for The Country Filled with Joy, while the Long Thanh Ward and Tran Bien Ward associations were awarded Encouragement Prizes for their performances Starfish and The First Spring, respectively.

Congratulations to the successful organization of the 7th Dong Nai City Vietnam–Laos Friendship Singing Festival 2026. The event once again reflected the enduring spirit of solidarity and mutual understanding, contributing to the continued strengthening of the special, faithful, and sustainable friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
