Throughout the internship, Ngoc Khanh was assigned to the Front Office Department, where he gained hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of an internationally recognized hotel. His responsibilities included welcoming and assisting guests, delivering customer service, and working closely with various departments to ensure a seamless and high-quality guest experience. The internship provided invaluable exposure to international hospitality standards and professional workplace practices.
Beyond strengthening his professional knowledge, the program enabled the student to develop essential competencies, including professional work ethics, English communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and adaptability in a multicultural working environment. Interacting with colleagues and fellow interns from different countries further enriched his international perspective and enhanced the practical skills required for a successful career in the hospitality and hotel management industry.
The successful implementation of the internship program was made possible through the close coordination of DNTU's Office of International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and relevant university units. The Office provided comprehensive support throughout the entire process, including application guidance, interview preparation, visa and travel arrangements, pre-departure orientation, and continuous communication with both the student and his family during the internship period.
Successfully completing the internship at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong marks a significant milestone in the student's academic and professional journey. It also demonstrates the effectiveness of DNTU's international cooperation initiatives in providing students with meaningful opportunities to gain global experience, enhance professional competencies, and prepare for careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
Looking ahead, DNTU's Office of International Cooperation will continue to expand its network of international partners and develop additional internship and student exchange opportunities with leading enterprises, international hotels, and prestigious universities worldwide. Through these initiatives, DNTU remains committed to equipping students with advanced professional knowledge, strong foreign language proficiency, and the global competencies needed to succeed in the international workforce.
