Dong Nai Technology University collaborates with OCLC and IDT Company: Promoting international cooperation and digital transformation of libraries.

Attending the working session, on behalf of Dong Nai Technology University were Ms. Phan Vo Quynh Nhu - Vice Prsident of the University, representatives from the Library, the International Cooperation Department, and other relevant units. On the partner side, the delegation included Mr. Eric Van Lubeek - Executive Director of OCLC for the EMEA/Asia Pacific region and representatives from the OCLC organization and IDT Company.


In his welcoming remarks to the delegation, a representative from the Board of Directors of Dong Nai Technology University emphasized the role of international cooperation in developing modern university libraries, especially in the context of digital transformation, the application of artificial intelligence (AI), and linked data, which are becoming inevitable trends in library operations and scientific research.

Within the framework of the program, representatives from the OCLC organization shared new development trends in library data, AI, Linked Data, and support policies and incentives for Vietnamese university libraries participating in the OCLC global library network. Representatives from IDT Company also introduced their role in connecting and supporting the implementation of OCLC solutions suitable to the practical conditions in Vietnam.

Continuing the program, the University presented its needs and development direction for the library in the coming period, focusing on improving the quality of academic services, personalizing user experience, expanding digital resources, and strengthening cooperation and resource sharing with libraries both domestically and internationally. Through enhanced cooperation and resource sharing among libraries, students at Dong Nai Technology University will have more opportunities to improve their self-learning, scientific research, and information retrieval skills, meeting the requirements of learning, research, and digital transformation in the current context of higher education.

The meeting took place in an open and professional atmosphere, with many practical exchanges about potential future cooperation. The program contributed to opening opportunities to connect the Dong Nai University Technology Library with the international library network, gradually improving the quality of library operations and meeting the training, research, and digital transformation requirements of the University.
