On the afternoon of October 13, 2025, the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Sustainability and Innovation: The Emerging Trend in Business Education was solemnly held at Dong Nai Technology University. The conference aimed to promote international academic cooperation and knowledge sharing on sustainable development and innovation in the fields of business and education.

The event, co-organized by the Association of Philippine Business Schools (PACSB) and DNTU, brought together numerous delegates, researchers, faculty, students, and international partners.

With the theme "Sustainability and Innovation," the conference is not only a place for knowledge exchange, but also a bridge for culture and education between countries, contributing to spreading the message about global responsibility of the younger generation in the era of integration.

The program began with an opening prayer led by a representative of PACSB, expressing respect and wishing for peace on the journey ahead. This was followed by a flag-raising ceremony with the national anthems of Vietnam, the Philippines, and ASEAN being sung in a solemn atmosphere, marking the beginning of this meaningful international exchange journey.

Attending the program, on behalf of DNTU, we are honored to welcome Dr. Nguyen Thuy Lan Chi - President of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Presidentof the University, Dr. Phan Vo Quynh Nhu - Vice President of the University, and leaders of various departments/divisions. On behalf of the PACSB delegation, we are pleased to have the participation of Dr. Amado L. Magsino - President of PACSB, along with more than 10 representatives including experts, lecturers, and academic managers from many leading universities in the Philippines. In addition, the ceremony witnessed the participation of many international speakers and scholars from ASEAN countries.

In his speech, Dr. Amado L. Magsino, President of the PACSB Association, emphasized that this conference is an opportunity to open academic bridges and embark on a journey to create new value for the community. Sustainable development and innovation are not only goals, but also educational trends serving the teaching of skills and activities in the business sector. He also expressed his deep gratitude to DNTU for its warm welcome and international vision in its educational development strategy.

Continuing the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice President of the University - shared his pride that DNTU and PACSB can cooperate to promote innovation, creativity, and sustainable development in business education. The aim is to form a network connecting businesses, universities, the government, and investors in training high-quality human resources.

In the presentation of thematic topics by speakers from both Vietnam and abroad, the opening remarks were given by Dr. Yeo Sook Fern, Associate Professor of Business, Multimedia University, Malaysia. With her extensive experience in research and teaching, she delivered a passionate opening speech, offering valuable insights for lecturers and researchers.

The next speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Dang Khoa - Associate Professor of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Ton Duc Thang University, shared practical research and strategic vision on connecting academia with sustainable development. Currently, the speaker is also the Head of the Research Group on Innovation and Sustainable Development. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Dang Khoa participates in many international academic cooperation activities as a researcher and visiting scholar at educational and research institutions in Taiwan and Australia.

The program continued with a speech by Dr. Nguyen Huu Thien, Head of the Accounting and Finance Department, Dong Nai Technology University. The speaker continued the academic spirit with a highly practical presentation, emphasizing the importance of innovation in training future financial professionals.

Concluding the presentation, Dr. Eric S. Parilla, representing the PACSB Association (Philippines), delivered a presentation titled “PACSB Through the Years,” summarizing PACSB’s continuous contributions to improving the quality of business education in the region over the years. In his presentation, the speaker highlighted significant academic achievements, undertaken with the support of Northwestern University (NWU) in collaboration with the Philippine Association of Business Schools and Colleges (PACSB).

The opening ceremony of the International Conference on Sustainability and Innovation: Emerging Trends in Business Education concluded in an enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere. The insightful sharing from the speakers opened up many new approaches to education and research.
