DNTU held the closing ceremony of the Visiting Lecturer and Teaching Assistant program with a delegation of students from Hoseo University, South Korea.

 

After nearly 10 days of vibrant academic activities and cultural exchange, Dong Nai Technology University held the closing ceremony of the Visiting Lecturer & Teaching Assistant program with the participation of a delegation of lecturers and students from Hoseo University, South Korea.

This program is not only a series of activities for language exchange, academic collaboration, and cultural exchange between students from the two countries, but also a vivid testament to the spirit of international educational cooperation that DNTU always strives for. Representing DNTU at the program were faculty members from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. From Hoseo University, the attendees included Professor Jeong Seong Heon - Director of the Institute of International Education, Dr. Jung Soo Hyun - Director of the Institute of International Education, Head of the Korean Culture Department, along with 13 students from Hoseo University, South Korea.

Academic meetings and international collaborations have enhanced students' capabilities and broadened their global perspectives.

From the very beginning, DNTU and Hoseo students participated together in thematic sessions, group exercises, team projects, and assisted in teaching Korean and English at the DNTU Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and Bien Hoa Primary, Secondary, and High School. A highlight of the program was the team project presentations between students from both schools. Each group presented creative, practical topics demonstrating a deep understanding of socio-cultural issues. This showcased their effective teamwork, critical thinking skills, and ability to connect knowledge in an international environment.

It can be said that this program has created an ideal environment for students to hone their language skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and especially their cross-cultural communication abilities. The support of leading experts Within the framework of the program, DNTU is honored to welcome two lecturers from Korea: - Professor Jeong Seong Heon - Director of the Institute of International Education: with many years of teaching experience at prestigious universities. He has participated in compiling and grading Korean language proficiency tests such as TOPIK and KLAT, and has held many important academic positions such as President of the Daejeon-Chungcheong branch, Head of the Department of Korean Language & Literature at Hoseo. - Dr. Jung Soo Hyun - Director of the Institute of International Education, Head of the Department of Korean Culture: She previously worked at the National Institute of Korean Language and the Institute for Language Life Studies, has numerous linguistic research publications, and is also a member of the dictionary editorial board and various professional councils in Korea.

Two experts, along with DNTU faculty members, participated in two academic seminars focusing on language teaching methods and cultural exchange. The lectures also offered fresh perspectives on the role of language in connecting cultures, encouraging students to apply their knowledge to real-world situations for a deeper understanding of the world. In his closing remarks, Professor Jeong Seong Heon shared that the exchanges were not only academic but also inspiring, providing opportunities for faculty and students to expand their professional knowledge, enhance their teaching and learning abilities, and lay the foundation for future research and exchange projects between the two universities. “Together we’ll go further” – Affirming DNTU’s role in cultural exchange and building the future with international universities.

DNTU proactively established a network of cooperation with prestigious universities in the region, while also developing detailed plans and creating favorable conditions for teaching activities, professional seminars, and cultural connections to take place smoothly and effectively. According to Mr. Truong Trong Nhan, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the program is a vivid example of the orientation towards connecting academics with global practice. With the development orientation of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​– “Together we’ll go further,” he hopes that both sides will work together to build a future for the global student generation.

The program's benefits for students from Vietnam and Korea include: - Enhanced language proficiency through direct interaction with native speakers. - Improved critical thinking and teamwork skills in an international environment. - A deeper understanding of the role of foreign languages ​​in the context of globalization. The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates of completion to Hoseo students and commemorative gifts to the two instructors.

In addition, the entire hall witnessed touching moments as students from Hoseo University looked back on their memorable journey at DNTU.
