On the morning of April 24, 2026, Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) solemnly held the ceremony to announce and award the decision appointing the Honorary Dean of the Faculty of Economics. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual attendance.

During the ceremony, the University officially announced the appointment of Professor Charl de Villiers, a world-renowned scholar, as the Honorary Dean of the Faculty of Economics.

Currently a Professor at the University of Auckland (New Zealand), Professor Charl de Villiers is recognized as one of the most prominent figures in the global accounting field. His professional milestones include:

  • Ranked among the Top 2% of the world's most cited scientists (according to Stanford University).
  • Ranked within the Top 100 global accounting scholars.
  • Author of over 500 research works with more than 20,000 citations and an H-index of 66.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the University Board of President emphasized that the appointment of an Honorary Dean is not only an academic milestone but also a strategic step in the internationalization process.
