What is GREENSEA? Why is Green Education important?
GREEN EDUCATION: BEYOND A TREND, A GLOBAL MISSION WITH THE GREENSEA PROJECT
In an era of unprecedented climate change and environmental challenges, education cannot remain on the sidelines. The question arises: How can classroom knowledge be transformed into tangible action to protect our planet? This is precisely why the GREENSEA project was established.
1. What is GREENSEA? An Intercontinental Educational Alliance
Moving beyond mere theoretical concepts, GREENSEA (Green Education Partnerships) is an international collaborative project on green education, funded by the European Commission under the prestigious ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE program.
The project is the result of a dedicated multinational educational network, connecting academic excellence from five countries spanning Europe to Southeast Asia:
-
Norway & Poland: Pioneers with world-leading standards in green living and education.
-
Vietnam, Indonesia & Thailand: Dynamic economies facing an urgent need for a green transition toward sustainable development.
2. Why is "Green Education" the Heart of the Project?
At GREENSEA, green education is about much more than just greening campus spaces. We redefine this concept through three core pillars:
- Curriculum Enhancement
Deeply integrating modules on the circular economy, renewable energy, and sustainable resource management into higher education systems. Students do not just study theory; they learn to solve the real-world problems of the future.
- Global Collaboration
This is a rare opportunity for universities in Vietnam to access cutting-edge teaching and research methodologies from Europe. The exchange of knowledge between partners in Norway, Poland, and Southeast Asia creates a learning environment without borders, where global solutions are adapted to local contexts.
- Empowering a Generation of "Green Global Citizens"
The future labor market is hungry for a workforce equipped with "Green Skills." The project provides students with a solid foundation to become leaders and experts with a sustainable mindset and environmental responsibility.
3. A Journey Toward a Sustainable Future
With the endorsement of the European Union and the commitment of member universities, GREENSEA expects to generate a powerful "green wave," transforming the landscape of higher education. The project makes a practical contribution to realizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"We are not just training skilled experts; together, we are cultivating guardians of the planet."
The GREENSEA journey has just begun. Join us as we share upcoming initiatives, workshops, and international exchange opportunities.
