Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) has officially been selected as Vietnam’s representative to host the 2025 Asian University Football Tournament (AUFT). This marks a historic milestone, affirming DNTU’s position not only in education but also on the international sports stage.

Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) embarked on its AUFT journey in 2019, when the university's football team made its debut in Taiwan, leaving a strong impression with their determined fighting spirit. This first step marked DNTU’s official entry into the Asian University Football Federation (AUFF), opening doors for exchange, learning, and elevating its position in the regional sports scene.

In 2020, another remarkable milestone was achieved as Dr. Phan Ngoc Son, Chairman of the University Council, was appointed as Vice President of AUFF. This recognition from international peers reaffirmed DNTU’s continuous efforts and contributions to the federation’s activities.

Throughout the years, DNTU has consistently made its mark in AUFT:

• 2019: In its first appearance, DNTU impressed with resilience and strong teamwork.
• 2023: Competing in South Korea, the team delivered passionate performances, showcasing the energy and determination of Vietnamese university football.
• 2024: At the Malaysia edition, DNTU secured 6th place, with goalkeeper Nguyen Duc Cong receiving an award at the closing ceremony, alongside standout players from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand.
• 2025: This year marks a historic moment as DNTU becomes the official host of AUFT 2025, bringing this prestigious tournament to Vietnam for the first time.

Hosting AUFT 2025 is not only a proud achievement for DNTU but also a significant opportunity to showcase Vietnam’s passion for football, its people, and its vibrant culture on the international stage. AUFT 2025 is set to take place from May 27 to June 4, 2025, at two major venues: Dat Duc Stadium and Phu Nhuan Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The tournament will bring together eight top university teams from across Asia, including South Korea, Japan, Oman, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia, and host nation Vietnam.
