DNTU FACULTY OF ECONOMICS STUDENTS VISIT AND GAIN PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE AT TAN CANG - CAI MEP THI VAI PORT

To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world business practices, on the morning of October 31, 2026, the Center for Enterprise Cooperation & Alumni, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics of Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU), organized a field visit and career orientation program at Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai Port Company Limited.

The delegation was accompanied by lecturers and representatives from the University, including Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ngoc – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Head of the Delegation; Ms. Ho Ngoc Le Vy – Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics; and Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh – Representative of the Center for Enterprise Cooperation & Alumni. The program also welcomed K21 and K22 students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Exploring Modern Seaport Operations

During the program, students received an introduction from company representatives to the corporate culture, professional competencies, practical workplace skills, and career development opportunities in the logistics sector. Before entering the operational areas, the delegation was briefed on occupational safety regulations to ensure compliance with the requirements of the port environment.

At the port yard, students had the opportunity to directly observe cargo movements in and out of the port, container handling activities, the operation of heavy-duty and oversized equipment, logistics coordination, and the application of technology in supply chain operations. These on-site experiences helped students gain a clearer understanding of the scale, professional requirements, and coordination involved in seaport operations.

Interaction, Discussion, and Career Orientation

During the discussion session in the auditorium, students had the opportunity to raise questions and exchange ideas with company representatives about port management procedures, recruitment needs, employment trends, and essential supplementary skills. These discussions provided valuable insights into industry expectations and encouraged students to proactively strengthen their knowledge and develop the competencies needed for their future careers.

The program concluded with a flower presentation to express appreciation to the company's representatives, followed by a commemorative group photo featuring DNTU lecturers, students, and the host organization. This meaningful moment reflected the spirit of connection and cooperation between the University and businesses in education, practical learning, and student career orientation.

Through this field visit, K21 and K22 students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management had the opportunity to connect their academic knowledge with actual seaport operations and gain a better understanding of the working environment and professional requirements in the logistics industry. For first-year students in particular, these experiences helped them develop a clearer perspective on their chosen major, foster a spirit of learning, and build motivation for their future career journeys.

Dong Nai Technology University sincerely thanks Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai Port Company Limited for its warm welcome, valuable insights, and support in providing DNTU lecturers and students with a meaningful and practical learning experience.
