The Announcement and Appointment Conferment Ceremony Honorary Dean of Research, Faculty of Economics - Professor Charl de Villiers – A globally renowned scholar
On the morning of April 24, 2026, Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU) solemnly held the Announcement and Appointment Conferment Ceremony Honorary Dean of Research, Faculty of Economics. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance with an online platform.

The ceremony was attended by the Board of Council, heads of various departments, and the entire faculty members of the Faculty of Economics.

During the ceremony, the University officially announced the appointment of Professor Charl de Villiers – a globally renowned scholar – as the Honorary Dean of Research, Faculty of Economics.

Currently a Professor at the University of Auckland (New Zealand), Professor Charl de Villiers is recognized as one of the most prominent figures in the global accounting field. He is ranked among the Top 2% of the world's most cited scientists (according to Stanford University rankings) and is among the Top 100 global accounting scholars. His prolific career includes over 500 research works, more than 20,000 citations, and an impressive H-index of 66.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the DNTU Board of Council emphasized that this appointment is not only a significant academic event but also a strategic step in the university's internationalization process. This collaboration aims to elevate the quality of education and scientific research at DNTU to new heights.

In his new role, Professor Charl de Villiers will collaborate with the Faculty of Economics to:

- Expand connections with leading global publishers and academic networks.
